Captions for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Reels

How to write a different caption for each short-form network from one script. Free per-platform SEO inside ShortsToAll.

Updated 2026-10-07

One script, three captions

The script is what the viewer hears. The caption is what the app indexes and what a scroller reads under the buttons. They should share the idea and not the wording.

A free pass in ShortsToAll starts from that script. YouTube gets a searchable title with hashtags in the title line. TikTok gets a shorter, more spoken caption. Reels gets a line you might save. You can rewrite any of them before you publish.

Put the words where the app can see them

On-screen text is burned into the video. Captions in the workspace are the post text. Use both. The studio title sits in the clear middle of the 9:16 frame so the app’s own caption does not cover it. The workspace caption sits in the post, under the video.

Do not hide the only copy of your hook inside a burned-in title and then leave the post caption empty. Search and shares read the post text.

Keep it free of one-caption-fits-all

Pasting “check this out #fyp #reels #shorts” into every box is how cross-posts look automated in a bad way. The free generator is there so each network gets its own line. If you have no OpenAI key, the demo copy is still built from your script, with a different shape per platform. It is a draft, not a final. Read it.
