Burn captions onto a YouTube Short, TikTok, or Reel
Burned-in captions for short-form video: full line or word by word, position, size, and a preview before the render.
Updated 2026-10-07
Burned captions are in the picture
Turn on burn captions and the words are written into the video, not only into the post text. Timing can be the full line or word by word. Animation can be none or a pop. Size, text color, outline, and an optional rounded background are on the same form.
Preview captions only before you render the whole short. The typeface stays the generator default so a missing font cannot fail the render.
Do not park them under the buttons
Position can be bottom, lower third, center, top, or a custom height. On a phone, the bottom is where TikTok, Reels, and Shorts already put their caption. A burned line at the bottom fights that text. Center or a custom height in the clear middle is safer.
The studio safe-zone overlay shows the same problem after the file exists. Burn the words in Create, then check the frame in the studio before you cross-post.
